Thanks to Russian women stereotypes, Russian dating is still taboo. But should it be? No. Russian dating is essentially a niche form of online dating, not a way to sell mail order brides. Rather than listing profiles from men and women in one country or region, like mainstream dating sites, Russian dating sites focus on introducing Western men to women in Eastern Europe and vice versa. There are other minor differences, like the general public can’t see male members and Russian women typically don’t pay membership fees but everything else is the same – chat, email, profiles, etc. Sure, some men have had bad experiences on Russian dating sites, but so have men on traditional dating sites. It all comes down to using common sense, having realistic expectations, and refusing to believe outdated myths and horror stories.
